Julia Fiona Roberts, born October 28, 1967 at Atlanta in the United States to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. The fourth generation of the Roberts generation that has lived in Atlanta starting with her grandfather who was a farmer, John Pendleton Roberts. The father of her mother took keen interest from a young age in theatre. While a student at Emory University in 1952 he was a part of productions at Emory University and in Atlanta. While in Biloxi, Mississippi he was played as a soldier in a production with Betty Lou Bredemus. The two married in 1955. Their first child Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter along with his wife resigned from the military in 1957, at which time they were enrolled Walter at Tulane University. Walter started his work at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter along with Betty Lou produced a Saturday matinee local TV show specifically for children named Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. They also earned a salary. They established an Actors and Writers Workshop in that same year. It lasted six years. They also had Lelisa Billingsley (also called Lisa) and Julia (also named Julie) at the time.
