Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
One child was strapped onto my back while the other crawled in the playground. I stayed up all night days, for months, sanding and removing wallpaper, while carrying one kid. Ha! It was all falling into place, but there was still a long way to go. The project would require an enormous amount of effort and my personal favorite brands to furnish this home. To stay in my budget I took my sons with me to look for hidden treasures at estate sales. It was a weekly tradition that we would go through estate sales and garage sales on Fridays and Saturdays and purchase a variety of new and old pieces. I then spent the rest of my time painting and sanding out in the driveway. The furniture was like this... and that's where I found my love for restoration. After our home was fully completed, I was unable to give up! I had an area at the market to sell things. I could outgrow the area because I had plenty of pieces that I was able to use. I started having open houses at my house where over 1 000 people could visit in the span of a weekend. They could buy anything they saw in the first floor. Growing Days was founded in my own home. My company was flourishing and my family was also growing. In some ways, I had found the perfect way to balance being a mom and starting my new company. Growing Days seemed like the perfect combination. My beautiful Nora came into the world in 2013, which was our 4th child. My company was doing well but I was in need of a break. I took a break from creating furniture for vintage homes, and I slowed down my speed to be at home to help my children. The time was right. But after a short time the phone started ringing. The people who called me were seeking help for decorating their homes and interior improvements. It was mostly those that came to my house for furniture. As I went along I added new clients to my list in a series of. However, it didn't take long before I managed several clients, and had an extremely successful business of home renovation. If you'd have said to me that this company that I started would become the premise of a tv show for the DIY Network I probably would have been astonished. It's fun to reflect on it.
