Jenna Fischer is best known for her role as Pam Beesly on the acclaimed TV show The Office The Office, for which she was awarded an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress and Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance from the Ensemble Comedy.
She was raised primarily on the streets of St. Louis Missouri. Jenna was a spectator as her mother Anne was in the church stage. She was awed by performance and theater was instilled as a little girl.
She's a trained actress who returned to theater after The Office. She was a part of Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway show Reasons to be Happy. Following her appearance in Steve Martin's most recent play Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy with Greg Germann & Josh Stamberg), she went on to perform the Old Globe Theatre's record-breaking world premiere.
The cast of the show, including Angela Kinsey (the cast mate of Fischer) and her actual best friend Angela Kinsey of The Office, started a podcast in October, called Office Ladies. The show has grown in popularity and is now in the Top Ten every single week. Its debut year, the show received more than 200,000,000 downloads. Office Ladies, which was first launched in October of 2019 and was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Month award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life is her first book, which details the journey she took starting in St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood which is where she discovered her calling as a professional actress. Her second, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is a memoir of her closest friend, as well as their time in The Office.
